Conditions requiring an emergency
SHUTDOWN:
- Any precipitation!
- Winds with gusts reaching 40 mph!
- Relative humidity approaching 90%!
When the automated system, aka Robot, controls the telescope, it monitors
weather conditions and shuts down automatically when any of the conditions above
are exceeded. If the Robot fails, you may need to shut down remotely, or
have the 1.5m observer do it for you.
