60" DOME DOES NOT TRACK TELESCOPE

This problem can fall into several areas. Follow this list:

VITRAX DOME CONTROL MICROPROCESSOR

Final control of the 60" dome happens using a VITRAX single board microproccesor. This computer does little except service the dome encoder, and actually move the dome. It gets input from the flwo60 PCTCS program, and input consists of three digit number that represents dome azimuth. If the vitrax has a problem, it will fall into one of the two following catagories.

Hung Up Vitrax

In the this case, the vitrax is "hung up", and will respond to nothing. This case requires a power reset of the microprocessor, and a reinit of the coordinates. The power switch is located in the chart room, on the right side of the wall as you enter the room.

Dome Will Not Stop

In this case, you must reset the vitrax, and it might even need a power down. You must climb up on mezzanine and pull the power plug to the vitrax for a few seconds.

Incorrect Dome Position

In the this case, the dome position is off, and all you need to do is turn off track, and move the dome to the right 360 degrees, then turn track back on. It will reset dome position when the hall-effect sensor passes behind the polar axis.
