Examples of UV Flooding
Here are two examples of recent UV flooding attempts. The first shows
a flat field taken on Nov 30 1995, and represents the UV flood from about
September through November. The flat field is broken up into 4 segments
for ease of viewing, with blue running from left to right and top
to bottom (i.e, the top left corner starts at about 3400A and the bottom
right corner ends at about 7200A). The second example shows the flat field
taken after a new UV flood on Dec 12. Note that the dark spots in the UV
are much less apparent with this flat. The depth of some of those spots has
decreased by about 50-100%.
